Good Books
- Blink, bought from a street "vendor" off the streets of Bangalore. :) Could be even more concise than it is, but the emphasis of instincts being able to tell more than plain reason attracts me. Kind of makes me feel good, and keep on trusting that instinct.- Brazil, by John Updike. Found this at the local library (in English) and it's really vibrant storytelling, catchy, perfect Summer Reading... Have noticed Updike has a Name - but did not know of him prior to this.
- Lumi / Snowby Orhan Pamuk, (still reading this...) It may be a soft spot for the Turkish, but I sincerely like the writing style, and plan to congratulate the Turkish embassy after having read the book. They should value such talent, not jail it.. :)
- Romahdus / Collapseby Jared Diamond, observes the state of the Globe with a scientific objectiveness, yet cosy and heartily affection. God knows, what will happen, but we shall see it...
