MKB is a
strange way for me to meet my old friends. It is a tiny pool table that we have
used for hundreds of competitions since MKB was officially founded in 1978. MKB
has rules of it's own. We started playing MKB with a schoolmate of mine, Pasi
Peltola, when we were 15-year-old teenagers. Since that time we both have
played over 2 000 MKB games and the amount is growing by 100 each year. Almoust
200 players have participated MKB since 1978. Each game takes about 20 minutes
and has two halfs. We gather together 5 - 10 times a year (during weekends) and
play a tournament, called Open (since it is open to everyone). Most of the
Opens are during summer time at summer cottages.
