Gibson Les Paul Recording was manufactured from 1971 to 1979.  
First version 1971-77
Second version 1977-79
Similar to first version except:
- sunburnst, brown, white or black
- bound ebony fingerboard
- three way selector on body
- one jack socket on side of body for high impedance output,
plus second jack socket on body face for low impedance output.

Technical Specifications

Solid body guitar with
low-impedance pickups (by Dirty Works).
Slightly larger body than early Les Paul models.
High/low impedance.
Built in unique special effects - will even sound like a Strat.
Recording is made from the best woods and materials of its time.
The fingerboard is rosewood and has a Les Paul "classic" feel to it.
The color is a beautiful deep dark mahogany (natural).
Very distinctive sweet melodic sound.
