Comments
Thank you for your inquiry. The KMS 84i is the hand-held
version
of the KM84i. It exhibits a high-frequency boost in the
'presence'
region to enhance vocals. It also has less sensitivity as it is
used
very close to loud source material, i.e. the voice. It has the
same
capsule and same basic circuit design, however.

Accessories for KMS84i (1997):
...it depends which accessories you are talking about:
the elastic suspension for KMS84 would be the EA2124mt
(black).
The original windscreen was WS86 (we could still have a few)
or we would check if the newer WNS100 fits as well.
The swivel hold SG21/17mt still exists (in black).

More comments:
I have not used the KMS84i microphone, although a musician
friend
of mine likes it very much and has used it in his studio.
Microphones, I think, are very much like musical instruments
themselves. And, everyone has favorites, but only you will be
the best judge in the end.
Personally, I very much like the Neumann line and have enjoyed
using many of their other products.
