PvP



I still can't believe I almost forgot this part, since PvP is so big part of most MMOs and also it's the part that many people like most.

I decided to add different types of PvP, including world PvP, arena PvP and also the possibility of racing. Let's start with world PvP.

World PvP
The world PvP is easy to create, but much harder thing is to give players reason to do this. One possibility I give players is the chance to be a raider, which of course leads to PvP when attacking other players. Then there's also the opposite of this, the bounty hunter, who hunts down these player raiders (and NPC raiders as well). Also, there's the hope of adding player controlled bases and areas, which would give yet another reason for PvP.

Arena PvP
Now this has already been done, like in WoW, but that's no reason it shouldn't be there, it just have to be changed a bit, so it isn't plain copy-paste.
So I decided to add differen styles of arena PvP. Basic 1on1 where you challenge your opponent, TeamVsTeam, where you challenge opposing team, MultipleTeam, where as many as 10 teams fight against each other, Every man for himself plain old deathmatch and maybe some basic variations like Capture-the-flag and such. There could also be tournaments, where you take part as a single person or a team, if it's TeamVsTeam, you get 1 week to set up a match against the other team, if it's free-for-all you get a set date and time when the match starts. There would be both game hosted arena events but also the possibility of challenging another player(s), guild(s) or team(s) directly. The reward from winning match would be inital reward plus entry fees (since every player must pay entry fee to participate). Initial reward could be either items or money, while the entry fee part would be only money. Also, in some free-for-all matches, it could be possible that winner gets to choose one or two items from each of the other players cars.

Racing
Simple enough, either on instanced race tracks or collect-the-checkpoints run in the game world. With or without guns. Similar reward system than with Arena PvP, with initial rewards, entry fees and the possibility to get items from opponent cars.


There were some basics about the PvP, why you should do it and what's there to gain. Main difference from other MMOs is that you may actually make a living out of PvP. Still needs some balancing system, so even a starting player can participate in PvP, without being slaughtered by players who have better car and equipment. I have few ways of creating this system.
1) When you or the game sets up a match, there is a limit for which vehicle types, maximum weight, which weapon types, etc.
2) Point limit, every car and module costs a certain number of points and you have a limited number of points. These could be set to either personal points for each member of the team or shared points for whole team.
