Tutorial

Here I decided to create an example of how the tutorial for the game could be.

The game will start just like your average MMORPG, with avatar creation. Many game concepts try to do something special here, by offering some little "speciality", which is either class selection etc. in new disguise or something totally irrelevant. I don't even want to try something like that. Instead, you get to choose the normal gender, hair, face, clothes, accessories, etc. That's it. Now give your avatar a name and you're ready to go.
You enter the game world after short (30sec or so) intro video. The game start's inside [instructor name here]'s automotive combat school. First you sit in the class while the instructor welcomes you and wishes you good luck in your training. Then he points you towards carage.
After you enter the carage, you see your training vehicle in front of you. First the instructor explains you basics about your car and then it's time to try her out. So you find yourself in the carpark. Here you can try how the car handles. Once you've got accustomed with the handling, head through the carpark exit to the race track. Your first task is to drive through the track with your speed limiter on, so you'll get overview about the track. The track will be very simple, but with some multisurface elements (gravel curves, bumpy straight, etc.). Once you've driven the lap, you get the chance to either do it again or move on. Once you move on, your next task is to drive around the track, but this time without the speed limiter, while there is line in the road showing optimal driving lane and also cones showing braking points, apexes and acceleration points (If you don't know what these are, you can have the instructor explain them to you). Again, after the lap you get the chance to do it again, but let's move on. Now comes the time trial, you must drive one lap in under xx:xx:00. If you can't make it with three tries, you get the possibility to skit it and move on. Now comes the interesting part, but first, you must visit the carage.
Back in carage, instructor will tell you how to setup your car and then guides you step by step through changing you engine (and if you like your transmission), mounting weapons and adding some armor. Then it's time to return to the track.
Your first task is to drive around the track, while shooting drones on it. Rules are that you aren't allowed to stop or turn around. You have no time limit, but you have three laps to destroy all the drones. Once again, you can try again even if you succeed and after three failures you can skip to next part.
Now it's back to the car park, you're gonna learn how to not take damage. There are 2 turrets on the ground here, you must drive in the car park while they are shooting at you for 1 minute, without taking too much damage. Turrets have slow tracking speed, so this test isn't too hard if you know what you do. If you don't, ask the instructor and he will show you some pictures. After this it's back to the race track.
There's one more test before final exam, next to you is a enemy car, you must destroy it while racing with it. You have 3 laps to do this. Once complete, it's time for the final exam.
Now, here comes the real deal, basically it's same as the last test, but with one difference, this time the enemy car will shoot back. Once done, you will be given your starter car and the rest is up to you.
You can come back here whenever you want to retry any of the tests. Also, later on when you get to drive new vehicles, you can come back here to get advanced training for that particular vehicle type.

In addition the game will have integrated online help system, additional tutorials (which appear every time you do something new) and a rookie help chat. I would really like the idea of a printed manual, but since this is a MMORPG and thus under constant changes with patches, that would be pointless. Take WoW for example, the printed manual included with the retail version was partly outdated on release day.
