The beginning

"Vilma" was my first whippet. She was born in February 1985 and her outgoing personality convinced me from the start that whippet is definitely my breed! She got the required three CC's for her title, did a bit racing, but mostly she was the soul of our gang.

Vilma slept away in April 1999.
She is greatly missed and will always have a special place in my heart.

"Viivi" was born in April 1986. I wasn't planning on getting another whippet until Vilma was a bit older, but as is typical for whippets, she longed for a companion so much that I had to get her a pal.

Viivi wasn't particularly outstanding as a puppy, but little by little she matured to a lovely adult. She had quite a career being among the top five whippets in Finland for many years. Her lovely front and excellent side movement (which was rare in our country during the '80's) were recognised by such breed specialists as R.M. James, George Carmichael, Margaret Newcombe, Claire Simmonds and Magnus Hagstedt.

In 1990 she had a litter with Multi Ch Nevedith Xray, three boys and one girl. One of the boys Softouch Small Talk "Dixie" stayed at home.

In April 2001 at almost 15 years of age "Viivi" slept away. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
