Sami Kukka released his self-titled debut album in 1988.
At a time when music was supposed to be big and completely produced an album that featured nothing but one human voice and a guitar, slipped though without the attention that should have come its way.

2002 saw the release of "Vettä kuusta" ("Water From The Moon").
In contrast to the first album with its acoustic Nick Drake feel, the second featured a band, playing folk rock.

"Kuolema tekee tuloaan" ("Death On The Way" ) Sami’s third album returns to the style of his first.
On the album, which was recorded in a cottage by a lake, Sami both performs solo and with friends, who bow to nothing but necessity.

"Menen veteen" ("Going Into Water") is Sami's fourth album recorded in collaboration with Samuli Kosminen of Múm. Many of the songs on the album were written during the summer of 2008. This album represents Sami Kukka’s modern minimalistic style where “Nick Drake meets The Church Bells of Konevets”.
